Why we record “no response” — and what it does not mean

How the accountability tracker treats silence from authorities.
When we send a question to a public authority, we record when it was sent, how, and proof of delivery.
If no reply arrives by the follow-up date we set, the case page says only that no response was recorded by that date.
That statement is not an accusation. Authorities can be busy, letters can be lost, and replies can arrive late — when they do, we publish them and update the record.
